
| The primary aim of the Western Australian Substance Users Association is to improve the health and social circumstances of people who use illicit substances in WA. Services include a health clinic for testing for blood borne viruses such as HIV and hepatitis C, vaccinations against hepatitis A&B, Needle exchange in Perth and a mobile needle exchange in the south west and safe disposal of needles/syringes. We also provide outreach, peer education on safer drug use and hepatitis C and a drug treatment and referral program for people who inject drugs and their families. WASUA also offers training and education tailored to the alcohol and other drug, health and social services sector, community groups and educational institutes.
